Vuka Engineering & Construction was established 25 years ago and was formerly known as True Max Industrial Services. We are a family owned business with a Level 4 BBBEE rating. The founding owner Ernest Marais Snr is still actively involved in the business and has since been joined by his two sons and their families.

Services were supplied to the petrol and chemical industry, bulk water, sewage, raw water, energy, steel industry, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industries and worked in South Africa, Africa, Seychelles, Netherland’s and Germany. Managed site installations with a project value up to R1.2 Billion.
Ernest Marais Junior
Site management, procurement, expediting, engineering N5, managed site installations and plant operations, plant maintenance, supervision of tank construction, coded welder, qualified draughtsman and other workshop and site related work.
Jacques Marais
Workshop manager for 17 years, managed site installation, fitting work, steel coded welder, coded welder plastic, plant maintenance, scaffold inspector, rigger certificate, forklift operator, crane truck operator certificate, code 14 driver, PDP.
- Audette Marais
Manages the admin and quality management systems and have worked in the workshop for the last 12 years.
- Coded welders and fabrication and installation teams.
We have trained many previously disadvantaged employees to become coded welders and supervisors. We mentor our employees to improve their skills to benefit us all.
